During an October 16, 2019 webinar hosted by the Production Engine Remanufacturers Association (PERA), Cloyes Vice President of Engineering Jason Thompson and Technical Support Manager Cody Smith presented “Timing Drive Systems: An In-Depth Review of Chain Systems, Components, and Technologies.” During the webinar, the Cloyes technical staff discussed the technologies involved in each part type that is included in a timing drive system along with the different drive systems commonly used.
Cloyes also presented several of its recently launched product innovations, including timing chain kits with variable valve timing (VVT) cam phasers and timing chain water pump kits. These kits reiterate Cloyes’ focus on providing its customers with a complete repair solution.
